To maintain the high standards of horological excellence we're known for, we've established clear parameters for our craftsmanship and client relations.
1. Scope of Engagement
When you entrust Cogwheel Chronos with your timepiece, you're entering into a professional agreement governed by the laws of New York. We specialize in automatics and custom editions, and our services are strictly limited to these mechanical marvels.
Don't expect us to work on mass-market quartz movements; our atelier is dedicated to the soul of the mechanical gear. By commissioning a repair or custom build, you acknowledge that bespoke work involves artistic interpretation. It's not just a product; it's a collaboration.
2. Warranty & Liability
Did you know that water resistance is not a permanent condition?
Cogwheel Chronos warrants our mechanical repairs for a period of 24 months from the date of completion. This warranty covers defects in craftsmanship under normal usage. However, we're not liable for damage resulting from accidental impact, unauthorized tampering, or "garage-watchmaker" interventions. If you open the case back, you've voided the pact.

- Component failure under normal wear
- Timing accuracy drift beyond specs
Not Covered
- Chemical exposure (perfumes/detergents)
- Magnetic interference damage
3. Intellectual Property
Every technical diagram, custom dial design, and movement modification blueprint produced by Cogwheel Chronos remains our sole property. We grant you a lifetime right to wear and enjoy the piece, but reproducing our proprietary gear profiles or escapement geometries is strictly prohibited. We've spent 17 years perfecting these curves; we'd like to keep them unique.
Note on Shipping Liabilities
Once a timepiece leaves 71-38 58th Road, the risk of loss passes to the carrier and the recipient. We highly recommend full-value insurance on all inbound and outbound horological assets. We won't be held responsible for courier delays or mid-transit "vanishing acts."
